A warm welcome to the Oxbridge International Summer School!

OISS was founded seven years ago, to enable students – from around the world – to experience life at a top univeristy.

People often ask what makes us different from the many other summer schools in Oxford and around the world.

Our answer is our core founding values, which are that the summer school should be personal, challenging and do more good than simply for our students:

Personal

We have a small intake of students (around 50 per session) meaning the team (myself, Sijana, Henna, Rosemary and the rest of the team) get to know our students (and their parents) really well. This means we have a fantastic community of past and present students, and we can accommodate everyone’s areas of interest.

Challenging

We aim to be the most academically formative summer school in Oxford. We use Oxford and Cambridge educated tutors to give our students a taste of the rigorous academic programmes at top universities, and aim to supplement these with inspiring workshops that provide students with useful skills, and make OISS stand out as a beacon of academic excellence.

Doing good

We not only aim to be the best for our students, but to do good for the wider world too. This is why the Oxbridge International Summer School is a social enterprise. All of the profit we make goes to good causes, helping us to recruit engaged tutors and staff with a passion for education. We also run a bursary programme through organisations with which we having existing links.

Stay in university accommodation (single, en-suite rooms) where real Oxford students live during the year.

Unlike other summer schools, all of our tutors are Oxford and Cambridge graduates and top graduates, with many conducting research at the cutting edge of their field. This means they are perfectly placed to make your experience of Oxford life as realistic and academically exciting as possible.

A Global Network

Every year we are joined by students from across the globe, reflecting the truly international experience of studying at a top university and encouraging our students to debate key issues with those from a range of perspectives.

Not only is our academic experience a global one, but our social experience is too. As you explore the historic city of Oxford and participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, you’ll get to know everyone at the Summer School, and make friends for life.
