Rachael History

Rachael is one of the amazing Oxbridge International Summer School Tutors for 2017, and she will be tutoring History. For her undergraduate degree Rachael studied History and Religion, before moving on to an MPhil in Tibetan and Himalayan Studies at Wadham College, Oxford. She is now studying for a DPhil in Oriental Studies at St Hilda’s College, Oxford, where she is also a Junior Dean and tutor. Her research focuses on Sino-Tibetan-Mongolian relations in north-eastern Tibet in the 18th century, looking at the role of local lamas as mediators between the Tibetan, Mongol, Han, and Manchu worlds.
