Sean is one of Oxbridge International Summer Schools brilliant academic tutors for Molecular Medicine. He studied for an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Magdalen College, Oxford. After graduation Sean worked as a Research Assistant at the Jenner Institute, Oxford. The Jenner Institute works on developing innovative vaccines for many of the world’s leading infectious diseases, including HIV and TB. After working on the production of recombinant viral vectored vaccines, Sean switched to working on a human malaria clinical trials team. This experience gave him a solid foundation for starting his DPhil in Clinical Medicine in 2011. So far Sean’s project has focused around the analysis of B cell responses to blood stage malaria vaccination and controlled malaria infection.
