Today we’re focusing on the Human and Animal Biology course. It’s a fascinating course, not just for people who think they might want to be doctors or vets, but also for those who are interested in the big pictures.
Why do some animals survive and thrive in conditions which kill others? How are humans different to animals, and how strict is the line between us, not only physiologically but mentally? There will be lots of fun exploration of evolution and discussion of current research practice.
This course is taken by one of our most experienced tutors, who also tutors on the Molecular Medicine course. His research focuses on cardiovascular development in mice, and hopefully he will be able to use his findings to improve human health in the long run.
