Felipe is currently researching for his MPhil in Jewish Studies in the Graeco Roman Period at the University of Oxford. He completed a BA (Hons) in Philosophy with a minor in Religious Studies at the University of Tennessee. He then completed his MLitt (with Distinction) in Biblical Languages and Literature at the University of St Andrews (Koine and Attic Greek, Classical Hebrew, and Aramaic). His areas of specialisation include the history and literature of Judaism and early Christianity in the Graeco-Roman period (especially 175 BCE to 130 CE). His current research explores the role of organized charity and philanthropy in 1st century Judaism; with a special interest in historiography and historical methodology.
